Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Banking Graduate Trainee to join our Investment Banking Team at Norrenberger Advisory Partners Limited (NAPL). The successful candidate will support the execution of investment banking and financial advisory engagements, including financial analysis, market research, valuation, transaction analysis, and preparation of client presentations and reports. This role offers an opportunity to develop practical experience across corporate finance and advisory transactions while working closely with experienced professionals.
Job Details
- Support financial modelling, valuation, and financial analysis for advisory engagements.
- Conduct industry, company, and market research to support transaction execution and client engagements.
- Assist in the preparation of pitchbooks, information memoranda, presentations, and financial reports.
- Support due diligence activities and analysis of financial and operational information.
- Assist with the preparation and review of transaction-related documentation.
- Track market trends, economic developments, and industry developments relevant to clients and transactions.
- Compile and analyse financial and market data to support investment and strategic decisions.
- Support the preparation of client meeting materials and internal reports.
- Maintain accurate and well-organised transaction and research databases.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of client engagements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the team lead or management.
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA or any equivalent professional qualifications is an added advantage.
KNOWLEDGE & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of financial statements and basic corporate finance concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong research and report-writing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of information.
- Prior internship or experience in investment banking, financial advisory, consulting, private equity, asset management, or related fields.
- Familiarity with financial modelling and valuation is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of the Nigerian financial and capital markets.
