Job Summary

The Finance Analyst, will be responsible for keeping financial records up to date, checking inaccuracies in invoices, handling queries on general accounts, and assist in payment of client proceeds.

Job Details

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Trade Processing and Settlement: Assist in ensuring accurate and timely processing of all trades, including order entry, order matching, trade execution, and trade settlement. 
  • Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Reconciliation: Assist in the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of all accounts and transactions, ensuring that all records are accurate and complete. 
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of board and investor reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actuals, budget, and forecast, providing clear explanations.

Data Management & Process Improvement

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial systems and reports.
  • Streamline reporting and analysis processes through automation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for strategic.
  • Liaise with clients and external stakeholders to resolve account-related issues and provide account updates. 

Decision Support & Advisory

  • Provide analytical support for business cases, pricing, cost optimization, and capital projects.
  • Participate in strategic reviews and provide recommendations based on financial analysis.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to stockbroking operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a finance role.
