Job Summary

The Performance Management Officer will provide comprehensive financial and operational support by ensuring accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, data analysis, reconciliations, and adherence to internal financial policies. The role supports performance tracking, budgeting processes, and financial transparency to enhance decision-making and organizational efficiency.

Job Details

Financial Transactions & Record Keeping

  • Process day-to-day financial transactions including payments, receipts, journal entries, and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the compilation of management accounts and performance reports.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas requiring attention.
  • Provide performance-related financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Support invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense verification.
  • Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile supplier and customer statements to ensure accuracy.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and track variances against actual results.
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support departmental performance reviews.

Reconciliations & Ledger Maintenance

  • Perform bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.
  • Support audit processes by providing relevant documentation and schedules.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or ongoing certification) is an added advantage.
